The Founder Series

One sitting. One film that outlives you.

Nobody hires a film because they saw a nice frame. They hire one because they finally decided the story was worth keeping.

The sitting What we actually ask

  1. What made you start. Not the version on the about page. The actual reason, including the parts that were not strategic.

  2. What almost ended it.Every founder has one. Most have never said it out loud to a camera, which is exactly why it lands.

  3. What you want someone to understand about this ten years from now. This is the one people answer slowly. It is usually the film.

You sit down and talk. That is the whole ask.

Everything else is ours. The lighting, the sound, the questions underneath the questions, the edit, the music, the thing you get back at the end.

No script, no shot list handed to you in advance, and no second take because you said it better the first time and we both know it.

A small number of these are taken each quarter, because the only way this works is if there is time to sit in it.

Sunday is the only day most founders are quiet long enough to hear their own story.

Why it works The part nobody plans for

The rest of the week you are inside it. Nobody in that mode can tell you why they started. They are too busy continuing.

Solving, shipping, covering payroll, answering whatever caught fire at six in the morning. A founder in that mode gives you the pitch, because the pitch is what is loaded and ready. It is accurate and it is useless.

So we shoot the pause. One sitting, long enough that the prepared answers run out. What is underneath them is the film, and it is almost never what anyone expected to say.

I came to this as an operator first, after twenty years running transportation operations, which is why I care less about beautiful footage than about whether the footage changes what a room believes.

The Founder Series

A film built from one conversation, for the person who built the thing and has never properly said why. Commissioned work, taken in a small number each quarter.

For families

A Seat at the Table

The same sitting, given to families carrying a loss. Two families talk about the children they carry. No script, no interview format, no performance, and no cost to the family, ever.

Manny's Fund ↗

Why both

The same argument

One conversation. One film. A record that does not depend on anyone remembering to keep it. Founders pay for it so that families never have to.

Four names, one argument ↗

Decide the story is worth keeping.

Tell me what you built and roughly when. I will tell you honestly whether a sitting is the right thing, and if it is not, what is.
